About Iris Martinez

Iris Martinez is a Boston-based writer. He writes articles, fiction and various forms of science communications such as blog posts, website copy and social media posts. Currently working full-time as a (technical) writer for a molecular biology company in the marketing communications department, he maintains social media accounts, works on website updates and keeps track of various analytics. Additionally, he writes blog, website and general marketing collateral copy.

He graduated from Wellesley College with a biology degree in 2024, and is currently pursuing his MA in Journalism & Media Innovations at Emerson College. Previous work includes his time with his undergraduate student newspaper The Wellesley News and various work for Wellesley College's Accessibility & Disability Resources department.

In his rare moments of free time, you can find Iris reading books (and occasionally writing reviews about them), crocheting, listening to (and sometimes playing) music, learning more about space and playing various video games.
